If it's excessively noisy and you purchased a new product. It may be inherently faulty. So could seek a warranty claim. Or........ A pair of ear defenders, cotton wall in your ears?

Most NVR users that have had success with noisy fans replace with the correct Noctua brand.
  • Measure the fan's square size (L or W) and measure it's Depth (D) to know the complete fan size.
  • Check the fan's voltage, usually either 12VDC or 5VDC.
Noctua furnishes a 4 pin header adapter with their 40mm fans. Instructions ==>> OmniJoin Adaptor Set

Once you know the size and voltage, find it on the Noctua site for the part # then look for it on amazon.

The numbers of the fans in the above video: Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX (12V fan) and Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM 5 volt (the original fan is 5 volts)
