I run eight (8) 5241s and I have one that is running between 60,000 to 80,000 kbps and it is set up exactly like the others that average 9,000 kbps on Main Stream, any ideas as to why? Thank you for your help.
No sir, it's in the woods looking at an approach of a trail. The ones in the field with leaves and blowing grass only run 9,000 kbps. Thank you wittaj for your response.
Dollars to donuts it's the ROI. Check the video settings and make sure you don't have a ROI (Region of Interest) set up. This has caused the bitrate to skyrocket on my 2431s such as you're seeing.
Firmware version might be different on the one that goes too high on the bit rate. If you can't find any cause then I recommend doing a factory reset on it and set it up again from scratch.
I am watching a side by side comparison of SmartPSS versus directly connect to the camera through the NVR, and SmartPSS is 70,000 Kbps and the camera direct through the NVR is only 6,500 Kbps. Why such a difference?
CanCuba, none of my cameras have ROI enabled, thank you for the reply, it's strange what's going on with SmartPSS.
