I have sub-streams at 640x480 H265 added to Blue Iris and they're all showing as and recording with a squished/taller aspect ratio (see attached). This is happening with both my Hikvision and Dahua cameras. Blue Iris lists/detects them properly as 640x480 in each camera's properties screen. The streams play back correctly in VLC. I tried H264 and got the same result. Any ideas??

I don't get what you're having an issue with...maybe I misunderstand it.
  • 4/3 = 1.333, which is what a 4:3 aspect ratio is.
  • 640/480 = 1.333
  • The viewable part of your image (not the entire .PNG screenshot) is approximately 1177 pixels wide X 885 pixels tall; 1177/885 = 1.333
  • So the displayed image is the correct 4:3 aspect ratio for 640 X 480.

Do you mean that in UI3 (which is where your screenshot comes from) you want the image to fill the black part or ???

If you force BI to show the above image as 1920 x 1080 (16:9 aspect ratio), you get this which IMO is stretched horizontally:
