7616 packed up

I have a Hikvision 7616. Purchased in March on ebay brand new. Now its dead, the seller wont respond. Paypal and ebay are no help as they dont deal in faulty items. Contacted Hikvision they didnt want to know as im an end user.

Any help or advise, the HD and motherboard is dead so id bet its the PSU that has blown. Have tried a different lead etc.

Is it a non-POE model? If so, it's powered by 12v so that could be tested with a small amount of patch wiring. The on/off switch provides a handy connection to the +12v.
If a POE model - then a combo 48v and 12v power supply - slightly harder to patch into, but doable.
** But don't go anywhere near the mains on/off switch here **

Or - beg, borrow, steal or even buy for a few pounds a digital multimeter and check out the power supply.
