8 Channel Mini NVR, can only see 4 channels

Did a quick search, didn't find anything recent and relevant. If there's an older thread, I didn't find it.

Have one of these:

8CH Super MINI NVR HD network video recorder ONVIF 1080P E-SATA P2P HDMI USB

Most of it works fine, but I can only ever see four channels though I have five set up in the menus. It almost seems like it's a bandwidth issue somehow, like it might only see more than four if they're set to lower resolutions, but I haven't been able to find the right combination.

Ideas?

If people are familiar with this item, I have other questions also.

Have you tested your theory?
Tried setting the cameras to HD - that is 720p?

Cutting the resolution of each seems to have worked. I can view 5 regularly now.

Wish I could find an HDD/EHD to work with it though.

looks like you'd need a hdd in an external eSATA case and connect with eSATA cable, the HDD case would need to be powered to run the drive too.
