I've looked everywhere and haven't found this yet; only ones that will play a message to visitors if it goes unanswered for 30 seconds or if I use the app to play it. Maybe there's a setting buried in a doorbell's web settings someone has seen.

My only requests are that it plays straight after the button is pressed with no input from me, and I can change the message it says. It doesn't matter if I have to keep it in dnd mode to achieve this.

Preferably, it would be mains powered, have 24/7 sd recording, pir sensor and backlit button but these are optional.

Yourbell ?
It looks like yourbell is an indoor chime that connects to an existing smart doorbell (it can play custom mp3s though).

I mean the custom message to play to visitors/delivery guys (I've edited my post) so it needs to be outside/waterproof.

"Go away!" would probably be a popular pre-recorded message for most. I can see how this would be useful if you are throwing a party and don't want to answer the door or expect packages, etc.

There are a set of output connections on the yourbell unit to power a pair of 8ohm external speaker that meets it specs.... so you could have the yourbell installed anywhere and then run a wire from it to any external speaker you can mount. Check out the manual for details here and you can also email the owner he is responsive.

Thanks. I'd prefer a simple smart doorbell solution with the feature included but if no one else can help I'll look into it.
