Police on Tuesday released surveillance footage of a police pursuit in February that ended when the suspect ran away, fired at officers and was hit by a police car.

I will admit that guy HAD (past-tense) some terrific footwork. Should have been an NFL QB or boxer. Mind you, he probably didn't come close to hitting his targets but it all looked very "gangsta".

What I learned in EVOC (emergency vehicle operations) is that deadly force is warranted when a cop is shot at, no matter what the form it comes in. Running down the suspect is a 100% valid tactic.

Absolutely. At no time did he descalate in any way. He ran, shot, and then ran. Lucky for him, and unluckily for the tax payer and normal person, he survived.
