The thief seems not a poor guy, but do this stupid work, i have some clients lost their packages that is why they buy the camera for watching.

Hmmm, police won't pursue this incident. However there's a clear image of the plate which was just publicized. I bet that a local person already performed the research to determine the registered owner of that vehicle, complete with address, home value, taxes paid, etc. Then went to the badguy's community and deposited photo/explanation of the incident to all the neighbors' mailboxes.

So if she hadn't come driving up right at that moment, what could be done? The camera on the house didn't catch the vehicle license plate, and a picture/video of the woman wouldn't be very clear from that distance. Police would probably not pursue it because the dollar amount was so low it wouldn't be worth their time. It would have been better to have a cam or fake cam on the front of the garage that could be seen from the street to discourage drivebys like that. Otherwise, you would feel worse because not only did your package get stolen, but you got to see them do it and still wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

At least you'd know it was delivered and stolen and have a rough idea of who took it. Beats the heck out of wondering if your delivery guy is crooked, if your next door neighbour took it, it became a doggie chew toy, or whatever.

It does feel pretty lousy to have poor footage that shows someone stealing your stuff though, particularly if you are the one who chose the cams and did the install. At least if you're on here and know what really good footage should look like you get an idea of what needs to be done. If you know where they are roughly going to be you can control angle, distance, lighting, and lens length. Then you can start printing face pictures that'll make their momma cry.
