I have a Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2 / 8P NVR with 2 Hik camera's and 2 Dahua camera's. I was previously able to connect to my Dahua web GUI settings and for some reason now I cant access them. I am not sure if I was using the private LAN 192.168.254.x IP range the NVR uses or if I was using the "Connect" under camera management to access, but both these options do not work.

Is there something to configure to be able to access these?

I have a 5 port POE splitter box up by my NVR's in the garage. It is connected by cable to a port on my modem in the house. I have 2 of the NVR's hooked up to it and the other NVR goes straight to the modem by cable.

So if I want to look at a Dahua camera I use a power injector and hook it up the POE splitter box. I change the address back to 192.168.0.108 using the Dahau Config tool. That way I get straight access to the camera if I have to make changes. Then when I want to hook it back up to the NVR I change the address back to 192.168.254.2 say.

I know this may not be what you asked but this is what I do. Same method for the Hikvision cameras except that I use SADP to change the addresses around.

On a Hikvision NVR, you will be able to access the camera web GUI by using the Virtual Host facility - the links in the right hand column of the NVR web GUI 'Camera Management' page.
The Virtual Host tickbox is enabled under Advanced Network Configiuration | Other.

There is also a method that allows direct access from a PC on the LAN to the actual camera IP address on the 192.168.254.0 address range, but it requires a couple of network tweaks.
