Hi there

I have a cam on a remote site, and the NVR here at home. I can add the remote cam to DMSS with it's SN, but I need to add it to my NVR in order to save the images on the HDD.

My question : is there any way to add a remote cam to the NVR using it's SN instead of IP address? As it is done on DMSS.

Thanks for your help

Best regards

Quentin

Short answer: No

You need to connect to the remote camera to its IP. There are various free VPN solutions you can use. Personally I've used Zero Tier and it works great.

Longer answer yes.
But you have to ask Dahua for custom firmware to add in the auto register SERVER function into the NVR.
If your project if big enough they will consider it.
