Alert On Hotspot ONLY?

Yes..you setup a duplicate cloned camera for alerts only (you can make the camera hidden so it doesn't display a duplicate camera on the screen all the time if you live monitor the cams)..on the duplicate set it not to record but only send alerts and mask out the area outside the hotspot...
Side note: hotspot makes the area super sensitive and you will get lots of false alerts..you might want to consider masking out the surrounding area and adjusting the sensitivity without using hotspot.
Make sure to uncheck object detect reject, as that will cause you to miss motion events.
