Alerts Folder - What uses it?

I have all my Deepstack alert pictures in the alert folder, right now its at 17GB for about 1 month of images. I have it set to 100GB max size, but its on my C drive

Do regular alerts for motion use this retention, even if nothing is stored in there for them? Or are in the database separately?

I'm thinking I should move this to a larger drive

I'd move it off the C drive. BI/DS also stores jpgs there for occupied detection if I remember correctly but does routinely delete the oldest ones.

Just moved it to a less utilized disk, should be good

I've got my on a old 500GB that was not being used for anything else. Been that way for a couple of years and no problems, so far knock on wood.
