Hi
Model DH-IPC-HFW1230DS-SAW

This camera works when wired to network.
I have it set up with a fixed ip address.
I can successfully log in to the camera using the ip address. I can see the live display, and access 'playback' with no issues.
Under settings, I can see that the wifi is connected.

However, when I disconnect the ethernet cable from the camera - instead of continuing to get the signal over wifi - I lose the signal altogether.

Any input appreciated

Apologies for the dumb question - does your network router/gateway assign different IP addresses to LAN and WiFi connections (the camera may exhibit different MAC addresses for each interface) and if so did you use the alternate address when checking with the cable disconnected?
Worth checking 'connected devices' on your router in case the address is different from when on the LAN.

Thanks for the response.
When I log in to the camera using the static ip address, go to settings > Network > wifi.......the window shows that I'm connected to the correct router, and at the same static ip address.
I've also checked all active ip addresses using 'arp -a' in terminal - and tried to connect using each of the ip addresses shown. No luck

Note pages 83 and 84 of the User Manual, attached below. It states that you select from a drop-down menu "wired" or "wireless" and set one as default. They should each have their own unique static IP address (different).

Be sure to start with section 3, "Device Initilization", if you have not done so already.

If wireless is set as default, when you unplug the Ethernet cable, you should be able to log into the IP for the wireless. My three Amcrest IP2M-841 cameras (Dahua OEM) operate the same way.
