Now just imagine the costs of your items in the US without China. Your inflation would sky rocket. He is just saying whatever you want to hear to get elected. Coal mines are closed because natural gas and propane are cheap with the fracking there is now 100 year supply in the US. He includes unemployed numbers but does not minus all the people that retired ! I like him though as Hillary was not much of an option anyway. But, please realize that on importation except bad deal with Mexico he is not going to close the doors because your cameras will cost $1000 bucks instead of $ 100 if he did. Try paying a local worker with a pension etc for what they pay a kid in China to produce it won't happen.
I don't disagree with you. To play devil's advocate, maybe the domestic push would finally force Hikvision into the mainstream US market or some of the big US suppliers could see more competition and have prices drop. I don't think its likely with this market but it's an idea.
