Hi,

Trying to run the http comand to find out the focus settings for an Amcrest IP2M-853EW PTZ. Using this http command:

Code:
https://192.168.15.2/cgi-bin/devVideoInput.cgi?action=getFocusStatus
It asks for username/pass in chrome and then returns a 404 bad request error. The Amcrest http API documents list the same syntax. Any ideas why it doesn't like it?

Thx

Anyone with any type of Amcrest that can check this http command to see if it returns data or an error?

That is one of the biggest issues with PTZ cameras is they do not have a focus number like we can get with fixed cams, so there is no API to get or set the focus number, which is why most end up not using a PTZ for LPR because you cannot set that focus.
