Just finished attaching the cameras last night. So far 4 4k cameras and 5 5mp cameras. On the monitor attached to VGA port, I'm getting "Over decode ability" on 2 of the 4 4k cameras. Any way to adjust this for the live screen? I can cut it down some as long as it still records at 8mp and 5mp. I still have 7 more cameras to attach.

Dropped all the 4k cameras to stream at 2048 and the 5mp to 1792. Still getting 4 cameras or so that say over decode ability at reboot then come online at a lesser resolution. Any more ideas? I haven't checked the bps on the NVR screen yet.

Have you checked to see what resolution the cameras are recording at? It may just be lowering resolution for live view only by using substream there.
Decoding is needed for live view and playback but not for recording. Your NVR Decoding capability is 4-ch@8MP(30fps), 16-ch@1080P(30fps). See

Changed the bit rate to 1792 to the 4k and 1536 for the 5mp. Have 16 cameras running now without any overdecode errors. The 4k cameras never did have a setting for 30fps. 4k set at 15fps, 5mp set at 20fps.

Are you now using H.265 compression on your cameras?
