Animated GIF as camera source

Eh, wishful thinking, I suppose. No difference in the number of dropouts. Probably really undergoing issues.
Likely, mine's been steady every time I've looked at it; frequency? Oh, maybe every 15-30 mins for straight 5-10 mins...works for me.:p

An update for all those in the past that have hoped for an animated GIF to be displayed as a camera in Blue Iris. I updated BI to 4.7.6.2 as @fenderman pointed out above and now have an animated weather radar image for a camera! This process has been of interest in the past to @Weather_Junkie , @Cameraguy , @awsum140 , @Mike A.

Instructions below:

First, go ==>> here <<== and find the 3-letter code for the weather radar you'd like to display; mine is Columbus, MS which is 'GWX'.

Next, create a camera and configure as below, in image #1.

For the path, copy and paste the code below but place YOUR 3-letter weather radar code in place of my 'GWX'. It's located near the beginning, preceded by "station=".

Code:
cgi-bin/radar/WUNIDS_map?station=GWX&brand=wui&num=6&delay=15&type=N0R&frame=0&scale=1.000&noclutter=0&showstorms=0&mapx=400&mapy=240&centerx=400&centery=240&transx=0&transy=0

In image #2, change the 'Video' page's 'Max rate' to 2.0 seconds.

Nice!! Thank you sir!

If you wanted to play around with the zoom on your map just change default value "scale=1.000" to any of the following.
"1"=100%
"0.75"=150%
"0.5"=200%
"0.25"=400%
"0.125"=800%

To get this to work for Australia: just change the 3 letter station ID to one of the following Australia Radar Station numbers.( this info was pulled from the website, they got some of the stations states mixed up, but they should work)

Negative, GWX is working fine.
What's the URL you're using?

That's part of it...how 'bout clicking on that "video", "Path", highlight all of it, select copy (<control> + C) then paste (<control> + V) that into your post?

EDIT: disregard, my man. Glad ur up.:D

I use a script to download a radar image and store it locally in the BI www folder, I then point BI to use the local image so it doesn't hammer external URLs to obtain radar images.

How often do you refresh that downloaded image?
Most online animated radar (.gif) images are updated about every 15 minutes; I "hammer" WU only about every 10 minutes.....not too often, IMO.

I must be doing something wrong. I copy and pasted the code (changing the station to DTX), but I only get a still pic and not an animated gif. I'm on 4.8.6.3, so as I understand it, it should work. I've tried leaving it as GWX to see if Detroit was the problem, but it's not coming up as animated for me with that station either. Any clues? Thanks!
