Ankee C500 motion detection

I just bought an Ankee C500 to replace my old 720p Sv3C camera.

The web based SW seems buggy to me. Menus come and go, and settings don't always get saved

Anyway, I can live with a few bugs but I cannot get motion detection to work. There are several options, and no matter what combination I try, the camera either records all time or not at all. The manual doesn't cover much of a value, and a search did not help.

Maybe someone can guide me. The camera is set to record on the SD card. There is no external equipment involved.

When savings don't get saved, that is usually a browser issue. Try Internet Explorer. Not Chrome with the IE tab, but plain ole IE. If you don't have access to that (like you are on Win11), then try Pale Moon.
