I've been using an annke poe ip camera kit with an NVR for the last 4 years and have never had a problem with it. Last week, one of the cameras just stopped working all of a sudden. The ethernet status lights on the back of the NVR were not on and researching the problem pointed to a possible cable problem. However, I was able to swap cables with a known good one and the light still would not turn on. This lead me to suspect there was something wrong with the camera. When I checked the poe status in the NVR settings, the wattage was fluctuating up and down while the other cameras had stable wattage. Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a sure sigh the camera is dead?
