Sorry, I'm still new to all this; but was just wondering if going from an ANNKE I61DR (re-branded Hikvision DS-2CD2420F) to the IPC-T2431T-AS would be considered an improvement? Or should I just stick with the Annke? Right now, the Annke is just used to monitor a low traffic indoor hallway.

Thank you

I use both Annke and hikvision cube cameras. They are OK for home indoor use. I would never use them in a business.
The most import thing on a camera is the sensor size the the annke has 1/2.8 and the hikvision has 1/3. The next import thing is the lens 2.8 is wide angle, 6.0 is a sharper focus. By the current standards these are normal for consumer grade cameras, but are not the best.

If you are not having any security problems and the type of mounting is not a problem then stay with what you have.

But is you want to change any of the dahua 5442 cameras.

1) Camera Sensor size, bigger is general better Sensor Size Chart
2) Camera lens size, a bigger number give more range but less field of view. Which Security Camera Lens Size Should I Buy?

Post a picture form the annke of the hallway.

Thanks for the tips. I was considering swapping to the Dahua IPC-T2431T-AS because I wanted to put an indoor cam at my mom's place. She doesn't need anything too fancy so I thought about putting the Annke over there and getting the IPC-T2431T-AS as a replacement. Another reason is I currently have the Annke mounted on the ceiling, and I kinda want to switch to a turret-style cam for ones on the ceiling. If I do replace it, I'd prefer a cam that is under $100 which is why I was looking at the IPC-T2431T-AS.

But I haven't really had any issues with the Annke so far so maybe i'll go with what you suggested and just keep it.

Here's a pic of the annke in the hallway.
