Hi all,
Is anyone aware of Dahua camera's, preferably starlights, that do not have the focus bug?
For those that do not know what the focus bug is:
- When you focus the camera at day time, the night time focus is off after it removes the IR-cut filter.
I.E. the picture loses sharpness (= it is blurrier).
- When you focus the camera at night time, the day time focus is off. So here the picture loses sharpness during day time. Day time = when the IR-cut filter is in front of the camera lens.
So you would have to refocus manually 2 times a day or do it with a script, which is not so ideal. The script can be used to do a refocus or to go to a predefined focal point (=faster). However, the when is a bit harder. Time based is inaccurate and I don't think you can query the camera to tell you whether IR is on or off.
kind regards,
J
