AI was initionally going to go with a dahua NVR 16 port poe model because it had inputs/outputs, but I read that BI is capable of this as well through http commands. I have a mish mash of different cameras and I think BI is something to look at for that reason alone.
One of my questions is that I want to integrate BI with my omnipro2 leviton home automation systems. I need BI to react to commands from the home auto system probably using relays. I know you can have BI direct a cam to a preset with http, but what about patrols?
Can you say have a patrol initiate with geofence, then if the home automation sees motion in the back property, direct the cam to that area for a few min , then resume patrol till the next event
Also, what is the preferred hardware to get BI to see the contact closure from outside of the box. I need a reasonably priced interface to accomplish this (input and output). I would love to hear what others are doing.
