Any reason to use SmartIR on door/porch camera?

Definitely will need to play with it a bit.
I also need to read up on day vs night...as in if I have settings that help at night, will it screw up the daytime...

Unless you have stadium quality night, you will need different settings for day and night.

Daytime can run shutters of 1/4,000 to 1/10,000 plus.

Nighttime not many have enough light to run much past say a 1/120 or 1/250 shutter, but most are in the 1/60 to 1/120 range.

At a 1/120 shutter, it would be a complete white image in the middle of the day.

I should have clarified that was a screen grab from a video recording, if that matters?

I'll look at some more settings tonight.

I have more questions about day/night scheduling but I'll save those until I read some more.
