Any recommendations for a DVR/NVR with decent software?

I have a Night Owl DVR for my analog cams that I hate. Looking to replace it because the software on it is terrible. I'm looking for another DVR. Have heard good things about Amcrest. Any recommendations?

Things I hate about it:
-USB 2.0 only so it takes forever to export video
-Doesn't support H.264 at the max bitrate. Instead it uses an MPEG-PS format that is antiquated

What I'm looking for:
-USB 3.0 for fast export OR the ability to export via a networked device (ideally a PC)
-H.264 or H.265
-It would need to have ports for my analog cams. Since they ARE analog, I'm guessing that they should work with any NVR?

Amcrest rebrands dahua and charges you a premium... consider replacing your low res abalog cams. See dahua pentabrid DVRs..
