anyone else have Avast flag the latest update as malware

tried it twice and avast stopped it each time

It just auto updates when I open up the consul window doesn’t really give me a chance to download it and send it the virus total and check it

you can download the update from the website...that is how you should install all updates so you have files for backup
 
In regards to false positives, you could exclude the Blue Iris program folder from Avast scanning. In Avast, go to Settings -> General -> Exclusions and add C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 4\*
