I don't blame you for the cheap crimpers. I have a few of the blackbox EZ-RJpro crimpers that I get through my job. They are the best crimpers I've ever used but they are just too pricey to buy for personal use.Didn't want to shell out for the pricey crimp tool, so I've been using the CAT6 EZ-RJ45 connectors with these $13 TRENDnet crimpers fine - just that I have to manually snip the leads and pull the cable back a bit by hand before crimping.

I understand some of the guys that have been doing this a long time don't like the ez connectors but they are just too easy to get right. I can crimp an end in less than a minute from start to finish and probably only have 1 in a couple hundred that I have to redo for some reason.
