I already own a lot of yolink stuff. I'm looking to attach the yolink vibration sensor to my wife's car so I know when she is near home. Will this work at all?

It might work, but the constant vibration from the car triggering it would probably reduce the battery life considerably.

I have one of their vibration sensors along with 121 other YoLink devices. I use the vibration sensor on my stand-alone natural gas generator. The generator does a 20 minute test run every two weeks, which also keeps its battery charged. The vibration sensor notifies me when the generator starts. I don't always hear the generator or if I'm away from home the vibration sensor lets me know it started the run. Works great every time.

Yes, I can see the problem there. Would there be any other device alternatives for what I want to do?
