We have seen some of the devastation happening in the South Eastern United States. Now we
have seen the response the Federal Government has begrudgingly given and the lack of concern displayed
toward OUR OWN CITIZENS! This is nothing new as all governments that hate and take advantage, FAIL!

So now that you have seen on your big screen TV what the government can't, won't, will not, or someday might
do, DO FOR YOURSELF?
How long will you and your family last? Water is first and I am not talking a plastic 1 gallon jug or 2. Where are your
alternate sources and how do you make it potable? How is the food supply? If you have been to one of the major Box Stores,
you have seen the emergency food buckets. If you lived in the S.E., haw many would you have used up by now or will need?

Now for the ultimate. Are you armed and ready for the unspeakable? We have seen the ILLEGALS and their criminal elements
loot and do other unspeakable criminal acts with impunity? You might have to use deadly force, are you ready?

Now for the most important part! ARE YOU RIGHT, Bema Seat or Judgement Seat?

An eye opener... I'm in Wilmington, been thru hurricanes since '98, nothing even close to what they are experiencing. Already have a whole house gen, but only twin 120 tanks. Just yesterday ordered an Ecoflow Delta Max 2 "solar generator" and a 4kw dual fuel inverter gen as backup. Starting to collect more shelf stable foods. Need a portable water filtration strategy. Ammo? Gotta keep that one closer to my vest, I wouldn't want anyone to think I need extra floor supports under house or anything... LOL

Went to Sam's Mon before dock strike, anticipating... very crowded, lotsa toilet paper and paper towels in carts. I heard 2 days later they were stripped bare, as was Walmart. May be a more local phenomena because it's all going down "local".

Watching all the vids from locals almost makes me feel sick, if I could get past my growing disgust and rage at the "official" response.

Oh hey gary, fellow ham... you see the news story out of Charlotte about the "old technology" used to get in touch with and help all those people? Yep, ham radio.

I'd use my call sign, except it would point to my physical address... KJ4xxx territory here...

Good on QRZ. I need to get a new 2 meter rig as my 2 M all mode was stolen. I have the
FT-950 that is in the pic so 500K- 54MHz is covered.

I used to run phone patches for a guy
in the C.G. when they were on patrol off S. America for drug interdiction. Many a time the Ship's
radio was on the blink so they used him and his radio.

So add Ham Radio to your list! No more code and the tests are not that hard.
Also if one decides to have "hard money" around, I would suggest a lot of small
denominations as one will probably not receive change.

Based on what is available on the Net having preps is great but none of that was helpful for millions.

As their entire homes and neighbourhoods were destroyed and flooded.

That’s why it’s imperative to have a Go Bag for 24-72 hours. Alternative location depending upon your needs and threats that will impact you.

You have people who had zero chance in the lower main land due to flooding.

Than you had the polar opposite of people in high ground but were stranded because the only roads in / out were washed out.

Prepping is about having back up and contingency plans to the best of your ability.

Nothing is more important than a strong group network of like minds!

The problem is if Bob, John, Tom, have all been wiped out just like you.

What do you do?!?

Those who have the financial means almost always have a RV / Trailer Camper. This is one of the best methods to get away from danger while having basic essentials and capabilities of shelter, storage, meal prep, etc.

This allows you to stay mobile while also going to an area / zone that allows you to be safe or be in a location to obtain supplies etc.
