Just purchased couple DS-2CD2335-I off Aliexpress, it was fairly easy to setup and I got it working no problem.

However it seems like the 16:9 aspect ratio is kinda stretched, not nature ratio. If i put it in 4:3 it looks perfectly fine. Is this normal for these cameras?

These cameras have a 4:3 aspect ratio at 3MP. 2048X1536

Even if I put it in 1920x1080p it still looked stretched, what settings should i change to make it look not stretched in 16:9 ratio?

What are you using to view the camera? are you viewing in full screen? what is the lens size?

its hard to tell what you are seeing. How bad is it?
Are you using a 16:9 or and older 16:10 monitor?
The monitor type and resolution doesn't actually matter. Computer monitors always have square pixels (unless they're set up incorrectly, which you can't even do with modern digital monitors). The monitor aspect ratio would only matter if Blue Iris stretched the whole image in both directions to fit the screen (but I don't think it ever does that as far as I know).

This is a very old thread. The user does not indicate he is using blue iris. That said blue iris does have an anamorphic setting that can stretch the image.
The monitor aspect ration does in fact matter when viewing a hikvision camera via the web browser. This is because the browser stretches the full screen image to fit the screen.

I think the issue is that viewing 3MP on a widescreen monitor makes it stretched. If you change the camera resolution to 2MP (1920x1080) then it won't be stretched anymore on a widescreen monitor. Basically what fenderman has said but in a way I understand better.

Old thread so hope that helps someone searching about this at a later date.

Same problem with mine, DS-2CD2335-I. Live view with app iVMS-4500 and desktop through iVMS-4200 the 1080 is stretched in 16:9.

Change the camera from 4:3 3MP 2048X1536 to 16:9 2MP 1920X1080 if you want to view it unstreched liveview.

Have already tried that, doesn't work. No matter what app or configuration I use the 16:9 stays stretched.

Sent a message to XinRay to see what they suggest.
