B&H cancelled my order. Mad. (A)(P) designation - what is that?

I ordered DS-2CD5085G0 from B&H on 9/1 and was charged the $515 plus shipping the same day. The item was listed as "Special Order". This is the same as several Hikvision cameras that I have ordered from B&H, with delivery usually in about a week.

On 9/24 I received an email from B&H stating that my order was being cancelled due to the item being discontinued. Now when I look on the B&H website, the same camera, but with the designation (A)(P) is listed for $818. An increase in price of $300.

Hikvision DS-2CD5085G0-AP Replacement for Hikvision DS-2CD5085G0

Replacement model listed on B&H:
DS-2CD5085G0-AP
Hikvision Box Camera,Darkfighter,8MP,H265+,Day/Night,120dB WDR,Audio,Alarm I/O,PoE/12VDC/24VAC,P-Iris

Is this the same model camera? B&H customer service explained to me that the cost difference is due to new capabilities of the AP model. It is really aggravating to wait three weeks and then have my order cancelled. It appears like they are just looking to cancel my order to increase the price.

Is this possibly due to the tariff situation?

AP=Additional Price.
Seriously, a quick look at the hikvision website will tell you that this is a new model and the spec sheet will indicate what AP is. P iris and auto back focus. BH dropships these cameras so they dont know what is in stock. They are huge dont need or care about you 300 bux. To insinuate that they are doing this intentionally is absurd.

That is pretty annoying, especially the part where they had you sitting around for three weeks before letting you know what was wrong.

@bp2008 yes that is the biggest takeaway. We live in an Amazon world so hearing that type of delay with no communication is a bit crazy.
