Battery to run camera 24/7 and simply replace battery?

I am going to be installing some Dahua turret and bullet cameras on a home that is nearly complete. For the time being I would like to install the cameras and have them record on each device's SD card for the remainder of construction until permanent power is issued and full network gear installed. Unfortunately the home does not yet have any power.

Are there any recommended solutions for a battery pack system that would be located within the house where the network room is located where the POE switch or multiple POE injectors will plug into that feeds power to the cameras? I was thinking of using a propane generator but that seems very overkill with a lot of cost and time used refilling, etc. I imagine a battery system where I can swap out the battery for a fresh one every few days and charge up the old battery and continue this until power is located on site. Suggestions?

Maybe something like this? It might be too small for your needs but if you can set up the solar panels, you might be able to run with just them depending on your power needs.

Yikes that is $1400. That would be a great long term solution but I'm looking for a solution that is basically trashed after 3 or 4 months. Certainly there is some type of battery system with rechargeable batteries that I can swap out every few days?

In general, I know of no "very affordable" solution for what you are looking for.

FWIW - posted the suggested idea from the link here, as Costco items change and webpages will 404 ..

wondering if you can rent something along this lines ..

I just used a kill-a-watt and these cameras only use 6 watts. It seems I incorrectly thought that I could simply use something like a 12 volt rechargable battery that is 12 Ah and run a camera for over 24 hours without having to charge it.

Yea, that costco kit seems like overkill. It will easily run a camera for over a week with no recharging. Offhand, I'd go for a couple of lawn tractor batteries to swap out. The 2 that home depot sells are rated at 10 and 20 Ah, or 120 and 240 watt hours (home deport isn't the least expensive source, just an example). If you were interested in solar, harbor freight has a kit for about $150 that looks like it includes the panels and a charge controller. If you're going to use the camera's IR lights, add about 4 watts for when they're running.

I would say build your own.

This thread may be applicable to your situation. He uses a solar panel and battery to power a cam for his mailbox.

This is more in-line with what I was thinking. Getting some batteries to power a POE switch (or maybe just some POE injectors to reduce total power usage as the switch is probably 3 watts) and then finding a mechanism to charge the batteries.
