Used to come around here a while ago and then got into some other hobbies. Anyways, I am looking to pick up the Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW 3MP Indoor IR Wifi Cube Camera 2.8mm they have them on Amazon for $109 with prime shipping. I'm currently running Blue Iris 3.6.6, have not gotten around to upgrading to 4 but it keeps nagging me. Few questions, does anyone know if the PIR sensor works with BI? Or what limitations are there? Does the motion sensing and alerting in the camera work well enough if I can't do that part with BI? I want to try to run these cubes over wifi, anyone have any issues with that? If the one works well I plan to get more for inside of the house, I currently run a few of the regular old hikvision tube cameras but I want to have legit motion detection with PIR sensors and the smaller cubes are much easier to place with wifi and being able to wall power and all. Thanks for the input. Oh yeah, is it worth upgrading BI to 4? Like I said, been out for a while.

Pir works with bi...Bi4 has zone crossing motion detection.... There are many improvements...It's only 30 for the upgrade

thanks fenderman, yeah, I am all about the upgrade, and that camera, gonna order me one now to test, if it goes well I think I will put a few inside the house.

I've got the Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW, anyone know of a guide for making the PIR work in BI 4? I've got the demo installed and sent an email off to sales to see if I can still get the upgrade price. I found a guide for 3.x but it doesn't seem to trigger the camera in BI.

use find inspect so that it pulls the onvif profile..

I actually found someone's settings online so that part seems to be good to go, two way audio is working, there is a lot of like white noise coming through the camera's mic, I'll have to play with the audio settings to see if I can clear it up but it may just be limitations of the mic lol loving this camera so far, probably going to run it for a few more days before I buy more for the rest of the house. I also know one guy runs one outside for his front door camera, I'm curious how these hold up outside as long as they don't get directly wet.

it should be fine outside...there is an environmental noise filter option in the cameras audio settings...

DONE, audio sounds MUCH better, heh. Guess I better look through all of the other settings, been working the late shift all this week, didn't have much time to play with the cam much and now I'm having to remote into my BI server through my phone from work lol.
