Best DIY lic plate dedicated camera by Dahua under $350

Hi, just looking for best DIY Licence plate camera.

Challenge is target choke point is 100ft-150ft away from camera. Need your tips on best zoom.

Budget is under $350 for camera.

it's an OEM branded Dahua, so will work just fine.

Have used both the HFW-7442H-Z4-4MP (4MP, 1/1.8” CMOS - 8mm-32mm Zoom) and the HFW-5242HN-Z6E-MF (2MP, 1/1.8” CMOS - 8mm-48mm Zoom) with success at 120 feet using Blue Iris.

Images are from the 7442 as it was redundant having both cameras doing LPR of the same area. The 7442 is set at 32mm zoom with IR at night. Images from B.I.

If someone have original or updated firmware i cant find it...

The camera is running 1.0.0-20181025Z1S firmware.
