I absolutely love the new IPC-Color4M-T cameras. Though the speaker is better in the N55DU82 and 4K-X cameras I have, the added features of the Color 4M-T make it a better choice for general use. In my back yard along a rear fence, I have gunshot sounds that activate if someone crosses an intrusion zone. I have one hilarious video of an intruder who freaked out and started running when he heard it. At the front of the house I have two triplines leading to the front door. Cross the first line going toward the house and the camera will either greet a stranger with “Hello Stranger,” or the mailman with a “Thanks For The Mail” sound between 7am-5pm. Walking away from the door, the second tripline initiates “Hasta La Vista” (from the Terminator) or “Goodbye (alternating male/female voices).” Between 5pm-midnight I alternate random funny greetings and between midnight and 7am I use a “Warning, You Are Under Surveillance” sound paired with the flashing red/blue lights. I also have been working on replacing the speaker in a N55DU82 with one having a wider frequency range. I recorded some ultrasonic sounds from a dog deterrent device that I converted to mp3’s. My plan is to use it next to a patio in the back where cats like to frequent my lawn furniture at night. Not sure if it will keep the cats away, but it is always fun trying something new.
