I currently have a Dahua NVR 5216. The device works fine itself, but the push notification to my phone are terrible - it seems it's reliant on the very poor coding of the app. Push notifications are flakey at best - currently I'm getting about 1 in 10 notifications at best. So they do work, it's just hit and miss.
Is there any better software that I can use that can either replace iDMSS to connecting to the NVR, or replace the NVR completely with a PC/NVR software so I get rock solid notifications? I'd look into installing software onto a stand alone PC if needed, which is a shame, as the NVR does work nicely as it's compact. Just the push that doesn't work reliably, if at all.
