Best way to reduce false motion alert on camera?

I use the feature on the camera to send motion alerts but it's sending alerts all day long when the shadows of trees are moving and at night when the little bugs are out, I get alerts of a bug flying by.

Use line crossing for alerts or increase the threshold.
