BI Alerts on iOS 10 with iPhone 7 Plus

Since I got my new phone, I've run into a weird issue with BI Alert Notifications. I don't know if this might be an iOS 10 issue or something with the new iPhone or what, but it's driving me a bit crazy. When I get a motion alert from one of my cameras, I have it configured to push one of BI's built in tones (i.e. my Front Door camera plays doorbell.wav). This has stopped working and now all I get is my default notification sound - in my case the same sound I get for my text notifications on my iPhone. Certainly not what I want! I want my sounds back! This has worked perfectly until I got this new phone. I have found that if I go into BI settings and under mobile clients, remove my iPhone, close out, come back in and recheck the alerts box, and then go back to the camera properties and test the alert sound it works. However a few minutes later if a motion triggers the alert - boom - no custom sound. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app just to see if it would fix it and it didn't have any effect. Only the aforementioned procedure seems to have an effect and it won't stay fixed.

I don't know if this is a bug or what. Thoughts much appreciated!

They recently updated the app, like a day or two ago to address some bugs that the app was having with iOS10. Try updating, maybe that'll work

I'm sorry, but this is simply incorrect information. It is absolutely set on the server side. THis has worked for me for months.

I checked to make sure I had the latest version and I do. I have 1.54.05 which as of this writing is the latest version.

I did finally reboot my phone by powering it completely off and back on again and now the alerts seem to be working correctly at least for today. We'll see if they keep working. Wish I knew what on earth happened as I could get them to work temporarily before, but after the reboot they seem to be working for the longest time i've seen thus far.

The ios app may be different. For the android application you cannot set the tone in the server. The server tones are for local alerts. The android app lets you choose tones from within the app. I dont have any ios device to test.
