Dear All: Our BI installation is with 12 nos.of 2MP cameras. The server is HP DL380 G8, Intel Xeon E5-2620-V2,
6-core (Virtual, 12-core), 16GB. All the cameras are set to "direct to Disk". However, we are surprise that the CPU usage is
constantly 90 -98% and this is really a huge hug on the server. As result we constantly observe delay of up to 3 to 4 second
on the live video streams. Again, the delay is pronounced on the PC -monitor (through web interface) with level of image jerking.
It is obvious that E5-2620V2 does not support QSV (quick Sync Video). However, what can I possibly do to improve the the system
functionality and reduce the CPU usage?

From your other thread I believe you are using all cams at 10 FPS? That shouldn't be as high of a load as you have. Make sure you have hardware acceleration disabled in Blue Iris Options > Cameras tab since your CPU doesn't support it.

Do you have the Blue Iris local viewer open too? That can be a major CPU hog if it is on a very high resolution monitor. In Blue Iris Options > Cameras tab, there is an option to limit the live preview frame rate. Try setting it to 1-5 FPS temporarily to see if it helps. Shrinking the Blue Iris window can also reduce CPU usage a lot.

Also, what are the numbers for BlueIris.exe in Task Manager? If you are on Windows 8-10 you need to use the Details tab. On Windows 7, the Processes tab. There may be two BlueIris.exe in there if you are running BI in service mode with the local viewer open. This is the best place to find Blue Iris' real CPU usage. Other processes or strange calculations may contribute to numbers you find elsewhere.

Thanks bp2008 for that insightful analysis. The operating system is Windows Server 2012 R2. Please, what do you refer to as service mode and local viewer? We have a local PC monitor on the same network with the BI Server for live view of the video streams over HDMI TV monitor. The PC monitor is constantly logged-in to the BI server through web interface (web browser) for live view of the video streams. We shall carry out the recommended test and revert with further clarification.
