BI recording1 day only?

Hello,

I seem to be having an issue with BI only recording the previous day, despite having set sufficient space for at least a week of footage. I am recording continuously, but my timeline looks like this:



My settings are here:



I seem to have enough space:


What am I missing something?

You appear to have only 1 drive in your machine, C drive.

You should have only Windows, BI and BI's "db" folder on C: drive and ideally it should be a SSD.
The "new" and "stored" folders (video clips) should be on a surveillance-rated spinning HDD such as a WD Purple or a NAS.
After you make any clip storage changes perform a db repair.

You have several issues.

Best to retain based on available storage not days.

NEVER move from NEW to STORED on the same drive. Simply keep it all in new.

200-250GB is not a lot a lot of space and is probably the issue.

You have an over-allocation error, so space is the problem.

Since you are putting it all on the C drive, you need to leave space for Windows, BI, any other programs, as well as about 10% of the capacity not allocated for to allow Windows to function.

But you really should look to add a drive just for the video.
