BI still recording after camera goes offline

Hello - first post here, so be nice :)

I have a video source - another PC on the same subnet running DeskCamera. It works really well, and motion detection is operating fine. It records when there is activity, and it stops when there's nothing. However, if BI is recording when the PC shuts down and drops the connection, BI carries on recording indefinitely.

I've tested this with a camera, and the behaviour is the same. If I activate the camera with motion and pull the network cable out of the back of the camera whilst recording, BI keeps recording indefinitely.

Is there a way to set BI to stop recording when the connection drops?

Look at Camera Settings -> Record tab and uncheck "Record No Signal and Inactive Frames".

See if that does what you want.

Hmm, I got excited then, as I had somehow overlooked that setting. However it doesn't seem to make any difference.
