Just installed/upgraded to BI5 and it shows this "No Signal...Decoder not initialized" for my two IPcams.
Closing and restart BI5 doesn't help :(

Anyhow the (until now not desinstalled) BI4 still works fine.

I run BI5 and BI4 not in parallel, one is always closed and the other freshly started.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have two Dahua SD-22204 POE

I actual use BI 5.9.9.71 (15.08.2025)
after long trying and crying the two Dahua cams are working
cables CAT5 70' and 200' from PoE switch

In the last two month I added 2 ANPVIZ 6MP PTZ cams
cables CAT5 3' and 15' from PoE switch

they are working, but not very stable.
both often fail to connect.

changed cables and PoE switch. It helped a little,
the Dahua are very stable since some years,
one ANPVIZ works some hours until it fails again.
the second ANPVIZ fails within seconds or
I can't even connect, saying "No Signal...Decoder not initialized" :banghead:

The ANPVIZ are working with FireFox a little unstable
now I'm trying w/ Chrome, working after nagging for WebCtrlPlayer_install
time will tell.

any tips, comments... for "No Signal...Decoder not initialized"

THX for any help

.....and does the additional power that the 2 recently added PTZ's require not exceed the total power budget that the POE switch is rated for and is supplying (all connected POE cameras)?

Are your 70' and 200' ethernet cables pure copper or CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum)? Do the cameras work if you connect them close to the POE switch?
Blue Iris make trouble with the AMPVIZ, but not with the Dahua.
All my cables are CAT5 pure copper from high quality distributors.

The 70' and 200' CAT5 working excellent with my 2 Dahua on my 4 port PoE switch!
But both ANPVIZ are making lot of trouble on the same switch on the 2 other ports with only 5' and 10' CAT5 cables!

Changing all cables and also the PoE switch, nothing helps.
Changing ports doesn't help either.

But all cams work on my cellphone ( Poxo X3 pro) and Onvier app w/o problems.
The ANPVIZ also works calling directly with Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome.
Even at the same time in parallel.

So I assume it is not a hardware problem!

Only BI5 has the "No Signal...Decoder not initialized" :banghead:

I sent this problems also to BI support, but no answer, that makes any progress ,
they want a (VPN) access to look in my PC.

I'm working on that, but I have a router cascade and not managed tunneling through.
I'm trying actual with SurfShark, just purchased today.

any tip on ANPVIZ, VPN, SurfShark, BI ... I'll appreciate
and will make me happy.

BTW I'm a retired EE and MSCE engineer and just celebrate my 79th
I have a complete laboratory with tons of tools, parts, including HW tester, oscilloscopes ...

Yes, the PoE is capable of feeding al cams correctly. They work with different browser. PLS see my other reply.
Even a single AMPVIZ and 3' cable on my desk isn't handled good by BI5 :puke:

Can you post screenshot of results dialog when in BI under camera "settings" => "Configure" tab you state username, password, IP address and click on "Find/Inspect" ?

Also a screenshot of the above page AFTER you click "Find/Inspect" ?
