I always believed in the "Nuclear Neighborhood". Say a few kilotons per group. I have my car
of the future. I will also be able to use it's wastes to increase "MY NEIGHBORHOOD".

I just read an article, that the airlines will need to hire 10,000 pilots per YEAR for each of the next TEN Years to make a dent in their lack of personnel. That's a 100,000 pilots to you and me.

It cost's roughly $150,000.00 to $200,000.00, in education costs, for the pilot, to acquire an airline pilots license,

Then there is the airline mechanic problem, 4-5 thousand will retire in the next five years, and there are very very few coming up through the ranks to replace them.

I just can't wait for the battery powered 747's to take flight. ;)

Watched Bongino last night and got an interesting statistic. All the battery power currently available in the world can supply electricity for a sum total of 75 seconds, not hours or minutes, 75 seconds. IIRC it would cost $400 TRILLION, with a "T", worth of batteries to supply an hours worth of power. Let's go green, or is that go broke trying?
 
Have you noticed the smoke and mirrors that EV MFG uses to try and not give you any useful data about actual comparisons of the cost of operating a EV vs normal car per mile? I can't find any useful calculators to do that.

The way I see it, solar and wind on a small scale makes sense. The application where a house has panels or a wind generator and the power is stored locally in a battery bank. Like a Tesla Powerwall or Generac PWRcell. Not selling it back to the local utility.

The large scale solar and wind farms can provide power when the sun shines and the wind blows. But when it doesn't blow or shine there needs to be power generated with coal, natural gas, nuclear or other 24/7 method. So, why spend all this money on wind and solar if we have to have enough grid capacity to run everything anyway?

I was looking around the house and notice the things that end up running on DC. All the lights in the house are LED, the TV runs on DC, radios, security cameras, etc. Pretty much everything electronic runs on DC. But now each item converts 110 vac to low voltage DC. I would like to build a house made to run on DC. Power it with solar or wind or both and store power on site. Then buy DC appliances or convert existing appliances to run on DC. The problem would be staying warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

As far as the climate goes, it has been changing since earth was a baby. Trying to keep it from changing is a pipe dream. We should be applying our resources to accommodate mother nature rather than trying to change her.

Just my $.02 worth. I've been wrong before.

So, I am expected to charge my work trucks with GAS POWERED generators overnight, that is if they make it through my normal workday without having to be charged. Since I am not able to park them close to a power source overnight, am I expected to hook them up to a GAS POWERED generator? And since I have to park my trucks out on a public street away from my HOA I'm to assume that I need to run these Generators out on an exposed public street and that they won't get stolen overnight and won't run out of gas before providing a full charge?

Drive around your community and look at all the work trucks parked overnight outside of Housing HOA that have work vehicle restrictions, Condominium Communities, and Apartment Complexes.

It's why they the WEF marxist hated Trump and paid for and encouraged the lies put out to the public about him. Had my best economic years ever under Trumps administration (about a year into it because he had to tear down all the hindering policies in place and it took time to get energy independent for gas in California to go below $3 a gallon).

What is really sad is that people in the USA don't even feel the full catastrophe of the leftist spending spree that started in the last few months of Trumps term under the guise of COVID by the Democrat Congress and RINO infested Senate. Couple this spending spree with the Trump energy polices they have abolished; we are in a world of economic hurt far greater than we actually feel at the moment.

It may be possible, even practical, to power some things in the home by DC. Lights and some appliances come to mind, but major consumers of power will need some serious work to run on DC. Think about the washer, dryer, dish washer, AC, well pump. All are either vital or important and consume large amounts of power. Voltage drops on DC line will be significant even in runs as short as in the house. AC is the only viable alternative. That means wiring for both AC and DC, yet another major cost even if it's done when the house/apartment/condo is built.
