Hi I'm new to BI and having an issue with the storage folders. Both Stored and Alert folders indicate "Drive(s) over quota / Drive(s) Overallocated". Here are the location of the folders. (DB is on SSD), (New is on SSD 50GB), (Stored is on HDD 500GB) and (Alert is on HDD 100GB). The HDD is a 8TB drive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How much did you allocate to each drive? Post screenshots of how much you allocated to each drive.

Is the New on the same SSD as Windows and BI? If so and not careful, you may burn that drive out quickly. And you have to leave a lot more free space.

Have Windows, BI, and the BI DB on the SSD and put video on the HDD.

With an 8TB HDD - you are better off just putting video in NEW on that drive and do not move files around across drives in the same box. Only move to STORED to an external NAS.

100GB for Alerts is an obscene amount - make it 1GB and that is still a ton of photos. All that is in Alerts are thumbnail images.

Suggest you more NEW to the HDD. An 8TB drive may actually be what 7.2TB available? Whatever it says is available, subtract 10% and use that as the space, so probably around 6500GB.

And do not move to STORED.

I moved the New folder to the HDD. Here are screen shots of the allocation. Still appears to be an issue. Thanks

Make the New 5,000GB and DELETE instead of move to STORED.

Then make STORED 0GB

Is anything else on that drive? Post the Windows screen that shows how much it sees on that drive.
