I have looked around, but have so far been unable to find success stories connecting Alexa to Blue Iris using the B.I. /h264/cameraname/temp.h264 stream output. I have tinkered with it quite a bit the last few days, with and without the Monocle Gateway, and have so far had no success.

Most of my cameras (and Alexas) are either on a VLAN or remotely connected by VPN, and are only accessible to the Blue Iris box, and I don't relish the thought of building rules that would allow each individual camera access.

As it is now, Alexa, Fire TVs and Blue Iris can all freely communicate with one another, but the cameras can only communicate with Blue Iris, so Monocle + B.I. would be amazing.

If I can get that working, then maybe integrate B.I. motion detection into a few IFTTT routines, then, well, it will be time for another "keep busy while away from the office" project.

Good luck to all of you who are cooped up and working from home.
