Just curious, does the Phone App offer anything that we do not have by VPN into our BI PC ?

Does anyone prefer the phone app versus VPN?

The phone app is $10.
VPN is Free.

Is the app worth it ??

After 2 days of troubleshooting and everything. I finally got my first IP cam up.
The feeling of seeing that video feed on my phone was amazing !!!

Phone app allows you to use two-way talk.

But most find that the UI3 is more than sufficient (just doesn't handle two-way talk if that is important for you).

Use both. VPN into the network then use the phone app to access BI. This increases network security by reducing holes in your network. You aren't relying on port forwarding and the BI webserver for security, but the VPN software. Not knocking Ken, but a lot more security focused eyes are on the VPNs than BI.
