Currently we are running a commercial level dash camera in our PD's cars, that quite frankly sucks. It is a hassle to get setup to wifi to offload and the image quality is terrible. It is a 2mp analog style camera hooked up to a small recorder. The recorder is basicallly a security camera DVR all the way down to the menu. It's impossible to read even license plates and a street sign is a struggle to even get to read.

Does blue iris support reading an alarm signal from , like an emergency lights to que it to start recording. I know the stand alone nvr/dvrs do, but is there a device you can hook up to your pc to allow that?

Have you really thought this out, are you really wanting to put a Windows PC running BI and 1 camera in each Police Car just to record a dash cam, I would suggest that a look around for a good dash cam would be a better strategy!

I don't think you want to go there.

Axom seems to be the leader in both body cams and dash cams for LE and first responders.

For that matter consumer brand Viofo is recognized as the "best" current consumer dash cam

This is a really weird post

Why have you not contacted Axon?
