I've noted this a few times, and I think I have narrowed it down to when clips are deleting

If I clear a bunch of space, and then let Blue Iris go, its ALWAYS fast, no hangups or anything. But the moment it hits the point where it needs to delete clips, it will sometimes hang up a little bit. This always happens when a new motion clip starts, I'll click the active camera in UI3 and it will just hang there

Eventually it will fix itself, and the clip is full, and intact

Has anyone else had this issue? I can re-create it perfectly by just clearing space myself, and then for the next X hours, there is no problem

One thing that maybe could be an issue is that I'm running ReFS. Perhaps I'll switch to NTFS and see if the issue is still present

I know nothing about the behavior of ReFS. Remember you lead you bleed.

are you manually deleting clips or letting BI delete the clips ?
Are you using continuous recording or only on motion/event detection ?
Is the New folder local or is in on a USB or NAS drive ?
Are you using a seperate internal drive for the video.

Provide screen shot
1) Blue iris status (lighting bolt graph, upper left corner) clip storage tab
2) blue Iris status cameras tab

I'm busy swapping to NTFS, lets see what happens. I think that might be the key

I'm letting BI delete clips
Both, 24/7 recording as well as motion
New folder is on local high endurance SSD
Yes, once it fill the SSD it moves to the local disks for bulk storage, but no issue with that. The move seems to happen without issue, its the delete thats the kicker

Will get screen caps in a moment

Update, this is 100% the delete. I can replicate it 100% of the time by just nudging down the delete

I'm swapping over to NTFS now for testing, might take a while to get the data moved around to reformat, I'll report back
