since my previous posts i've purchased asus n68u-rt, x1 hikvision turret camera, netgear poe switch, dell optiplex with 8gb ram (which came with win 10), full blue iris and the blue iris android app.
i have it all hooked up in my lounge atm, before purchasing more cameras and getting busy with a drill i'm trying to get it setup for remote/secure access as advised on the forum.
i have setup a PPTP vpn (#####.asuscomm.com) on the asus router and connected to it in win 10 on the dell. BI is installed with the camera connected so i can view it.
i have also setup a user on BI and used that to connect to the camera via the android BI app.
can anyone point me to a guide to access BI from a windows/chromebook laptop or my android phone via the app when not on my local network?
ive looked through the settings, is it as easy as populating the BI WAN address with my #####.asuscomm.com one?
