Hello! New here... Hope this is the right tread to post this.

I am trying to have Blue Iris connect to my Swann DVR4-4575 so that I can see and record 3 cameras connected to it.

Some of my device info.

In Blue Iris, select Add camera.

Then type in the IP address of the NVR, which is 192.168.2.9 and type in the username and password and hit Find/Inspect.

It will then pick which setting it feels is most appropriate for that unit. Could be generic, could be Swann, could be anything.

Then further down on that same screen is a Camera Number and then you select the camera you want.

Then repeat or copy the camera in the Add camera setting and change the camera number to the next camera number.

OK now it is play with the settings time.

Why is the make/model/camera and main stream greyed out and not able to be changed?

Let's find out if we can find the correct URL for a RTSP stream first.

Per page 57 of the manual, RTSP must be enabled. Refer to the attached PDF file below (page 57) and perform that enable of the RTSP stream in the NVR.

Download and install VLC media player from videolan.org
Open VLC, go to "media", then "open network stream" and for camera #1, enter URL of rtsp:/192.168.2.9:554/ch01/0 and click on "play".
You will likely be asked to enter the NVR's username and password; if so, enter those and click on "OK" or hit <enter>

NOTE: enter 2 "/" after "rstp:"; forum software does not allow 2 consecutively.

Report back.

Something still doesn't seem right since you have greyed out areas for make/model and camera number?

Can you change the ONVIF source at the bottom to VideoSource_0 ?

Or try this; change ONLY those items in the red boxes, then check before clicking on "OK".
If it works, repeat for each cam and change only the "Camera" number from the drop-down and then save that with "OK".
Do that for all cams 1 through 3.
