We have a SWAD machine in our warehouse, which basically weighs and dims parcels going through it on a conveyor belt... we have 3 Dahua Cams setup at various points of the conveyor.
We are trying to get the cams to only save a snapshot of a parcel going through the SWAD and past the hotspots and only trigger an image as this parcel passes through the machine, we need to be able to go to a designated folder where these snapshots are stored, look at the times the SWAD machine captured dims etc for a parcel and be able to go to the folder where these motion triggered snapshots are stored and find the correct image, this will enable us to prove certain things to our clients, for example, no damage, theft etc.
the problem im having is that i cannot get the cams to trigger with snapshots once a parcel goes through that hotspot window, but only get snapshots set to certain times, like every 10 seconds etc. We dont need video as we cannot upload the video into our inhouse designed system and space for video is an issue... we have over 2000 parcels going through the swad machine at night,every night - so video is a no go.
See the image below, the belt you see is also a scale, with some lasers that takes the height,weight, breath and length of a parcel in seconds, we need this are to trigger and the rest of the floor ignored
